Dr. Olga Kovbasnjuk is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Gastroenterology and Hepatology division. She studies epithelial physiology, fluorescence microscopy (confocal and multi-photon), Shiga toxin-related pathology of intestinal epithelium and metastases of colon cancer. Dr. Kovbasnjuk received a medical degree from the Moscow State University in Russia and completed fellowships at the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute and the National Institutes of Health before joining the Johns Hopkins faculty.
