Suzanne Jan de Beur, M.D., an associate professor of medicine at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, is director of endocrinology at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. She completed her medical degree at Cornell University. Her residency in internal medicine and fellowship in endocrinology were completed at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. She is an international expert in metabolic bone disease. Dr. Jan de Beur is frequently invited to speak internationally on skeletal health. Board-certified in internal medicine and endocrinology/ metabolism, Dr. Jan de Beur's clinical and research interests lie in bone and mineral metabolism, endocrinology, all metabolic bone disorders, osteoporosis, and calcium and phosphorus disorders.
