Dr. Jennifer Foulke-Abel is an instructor of medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Her research focuses on diarrheal diseases. She received her undergraduate degree and her Ph.D. from Texas A&M University. She is currently completing a postdoctoral fellowship at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Foulke-Abel’s research focuses on finding drugs to cure the diarrheal diseases, including cholera, E. coli and rotavirus infection. Her work utilizes 3D organoids her team has grown from intestinal stem cells to recapitulate all of the segments of the human gut.
