Rebecca’s research interests lie in the area of health services research. She is particularly interested in investigating the influence of health policies on various health services to produce greater equity in health. These interests are reflected in her PhD study Health policy and rural maternity care: Four case studies in north Queensland which explored the interface between health policy and the lived experiences of rural residents accessing maternity services. As project officer for the Northern Clinical Training Network, Rebecca also has an interest in the issues affecting supply of medical practitioners in non-metropolitan areas and vertical integration of medical education and training.
