Nicholas Gearhart is the chemistry laboratory director for the Department of Chemistry at Fort Lewis College. He joined the staff in 2013. His role entails laboratory preparation, including all setup and chemical ordering, for courses offered by the Department of Chemistry; supervising teaching assistants; serving as the Chemical Hygiene Officer; and maintaining instruments. Prior to joining the staff at Fort Lewis College, Gearhart worked for H3 Biomedicine in Cambridge, Massachusetts, as a principal researcher of medicinal chemistry, and at Eisai Inc. in Andover, Massachusetts, as a principal researcher of discovery chemistry and oncology. He was also a graduate research assistant and graduate teaching assistant at Colorado State University.
