Dr. Stephen Workman is the interim division head for the Division of General Internal Medicine and is an associate professor in the Department of Medicine. He graduated from Queen’s University in 1989 and completed his residency training at Queen’s and the University of Ottawa. He is actively involved in community theatre in Halifax and writes creative non-fiction.

Dr. Workman’s career-long interests include diagnostic reasoning, individualizing patient care, and end of life care. He has multiple research publications in the area of end of life care and a master’s degree from the University of Toronto examining demands for life-sustaining treatments.
