Dr. Colin Van Zoost is a general internist and assistant professor of medicine who received his MD and internal medicine training at Dalhousie University. He primarily practises internal medicine and critical care at the Dartmouth General Hospital, and is the medical director of the Hants Health and Wellness Team at the Hants Community Hospital.

Dr. Van Zoost has a special interest in chronic disease management and health inequalities. He works closely with Primary Care in the Nova Scotia Health Authority designing models of care for both rural and urban communities. His research activities focus on improving access to health care for the homeless and improving care of adults with multi-morbidity.
