Dr. Trudy Taylor is a rheumatologist and an assistant professor of medicine. Dr. Taylor is director of the rheumatology subspecialty training program, co-chair of the Canadian Rheumatology Association resident pre-course and serves as the Atlantic Canadian representative of the rheumatology specialty committee to the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons.

Dr. Taylor has a keen interest in medical education. She and her colleagues are working to launch a certificate of medical education research at Dalhousie and to establish a self-assessment program for students. Dalhousie is among few universities in Canada pursuing self-assessment for medical students--appropriate application of the skill improves medical judgment and performance.
