Dr. Panek earned his MD at Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. He completed residency in internal medicine and nephrology at Dalhousie and joined the Department of Medicine in 2002. He is now an associate professor of medicine. He is chair of the Atlantic Provinces Kidney Transplant Waitlist Committee and nephrology advisor for the Medical Day Unit of the QEII Health Sciences Centre.
