Dr. Colm McParland is a respirologist, professor of medicine and postgraduate education coordinator in the Division of Respirology. He is also medical director of the pulmonary function laboratory at the QEII Health Sciences Centre. He obtained his medical degree and completed an internal medicine residency at the University College Dublin before coming to Canada for respirology training at the University of Saskatchewan.

Dr. McParland's main clinical and research interests are the evaluation of breathlessness, obstructive lung disease and the role of physiological evaluation in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory illness.
