Dr. Macdonald is a hematologist, assistant professor of medicine and chair of the Department of Medicine Resident Research Committee. His clinical focus is in the area of hematologic malignancy, with a special interest in lymphoproliferative disorders. He has an educational interest in communication skills and medical ethics.

Dr. Macdonald’s research interests include clinical trials methodology and the biology of lymphoma.
