Dr. Robert Horton is an associate professor of medicine. He practises and teaches palliative care across all care settings, and has been involved in curriculum reform that has integrated palliative care competencies throughout undergraduate and postgraduate medical education at Dalhousie University. He is a current member and past board member of Hospice Halifax and continues to advocate for establishment of robust community and residential hospice care in Nova Scotia.

Dr. Horton’s research has focused on issues related to provision of palliative care to patients with advanced lung disease.
