Heng Zhang received his undergraduate degree in Applied Chemistry at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST, Wuhan, China) in 2011. He obtained his PhD at HUST under supervision of Profs. Zhibin Zhou and Jin Nie in 2016. The research was focused on synthetic fluorine chemistry (i.e., alkali metal salts and ionic liquids), electrochemistry, and Li-ion battery, mainly the solid polymer and liquid electrolytes with imide anions.

His research interest is focused on the polymer electrolyte for lithium metal batteries.
