个人简介
My primary background is in analytical and materials chemistry ,I studied Applied Chemical Sciences for my degree, before obtaining my PhD in Chemistry (multi-disciplinary) at the Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT). My research and teaching interests have been augmented by my postdoctoral experience, in Dublin City University (DCU). Nanotechnology and sensor development are my main areas of interest in terms of research. My PhD research position focused on the integration of nano-materials in numerous sensing techniques, including electrochemical and spectrochemical, while my work as a postdoc focused on the development of smart materials. Consequently my main research interests therefore include: nanotechnology, novel sensing platforms, materials functionalisation, microfluidics, advanced spectroscopy, microscopy and analytical characterisation.
