Amar Anwar is an Associate Professor of Economics and Finance. He joined Shannon School of Business in August 2012. Amar earned his PhD from the University of Leipzig, Germany. Prior joining to the Shannon School of Business, Dr. Amar had worked at the Ted Rogers School of Management, Ryerson University as an Assistant Professor and as a Research Associate. He specializes in foreign direct investment, emerging markets and remittances.
