匡猛，博士，副研究员，硕士生导师。先后主持国家重点研发计划子课题、农业部财政专项、中央级公益性科研院所基本科研业务专项等科研项目；荣获国家科技进步二等奖、中华农业科技一等奖及兵团科技进步二等奖各1项。发表科技论文40余篇，其中SCI论文12篇，获国家发明专利6项。

长期从事棉花种子品质与检测技术研究，在新型分子标记开发与应用、棉花品种DNA身份体系构建、育成品种遗传多样性与群体结构等方面开展研究。
