理学博士，主要从事底栖桡足类的生物多样性研究。从中国研究薄弱的底栖桡足类入手，侧重近海，对底栖桡足类的生物多样性和分布进行了研究，取得了一系列的研究成果。已发表科研论文20余篇（第一作者9篇），主持国家自然科学基金2项、参与科技部、中国科学院先导专项及海洋公益项目多项。
