Dr. Katharina YU studied Indology, Sinology and Indo-European Linguistics at the University of Muenster, and earned her Ph.D. in Indology/Sinology with research on the Prestige of Asceticism in Ancient India at LMU München. Her research interests include asceticism, philology, cultural studies, and intercultural competence. She is Associate Professor and Director of International Development Office (IDO) at UIC.
