Mr. Austin currently convenes the Listen and Speak Up course in the English Language Centre at BNU-HKBU United International College, as well as teaching on the mandatory English programmes. He holds a certificate in teaching English as a second language. He first became interested in foreign languages while studying Chinese in college. After graduation, he came to China to further his studies and to work as an intern in the ELC. In his second year with UIC, he was appointed as the intern coordinator. He is now employed as a full-time ELC lecturer.
