廖昭亮，1984年出生，中国科技大学特任教授、博士生导师。本科毕业于中国科学技术大学，博士先后毕业于中国科学院物理所和美国路易斯安那州立大学(LSU)。主要研究领域是低维量子功能材料的制备、调控和应用，致力于利用先进的外延生长技术原子尺度进行材料设计、制备和功能剪裁，探索发现新的量子态，并结合同步辐射X射线谱学、散射等手段，揭示电荷-自旋-轨道等量子序参量作用机制，解决“下一代芯片”发展面临的挑战。总共发表SCI论文60余篇，包括Nature Materials(2篇)、Nat. Commun.(1篇)、PNAS(1篇)。Nano Letters(1篇)，Adv. Funct. Mater.(3篇)、NPJ Quan. Mater.(2)、Adv. Mater.(1篇)、Science Advances(1篇)、Phys. Rev. Lett.(3篇)等。
