大地震触发机制：融合深部构造与震源过程相关研究，精确刻画引发大地震的构造控制因素，探究板块运动、深部地质结构等对地震发生的影响机制。 地幔楔内部过程：结合深部构造特征与矿物组构信息，深入剖析地幔楔内部物质流动、变形等过程，了解其在板块俯冲、岩浆活动等地质现象中的作用。 俯冲板块重建：将深部构造研究成果与全球板块重建理论相结合，追溯俯冲带在漫长地质历史时期的构造演化过程，明晰俯冲板块的运动轨迹、形态变化等 。
