主要从事有机合成研究，研究领域为： 1）不对称合成：主要开展新型手性配体的设计与合成，探索新的不对称反应，并将其用于手性药物的合成。2）有机氟化学：主要开展有机氟化新方法的研究，不对称氟化及三氟甲基化反应研究。3）有机合成方法学：探索新型的有机反应，特别是金属有机试剂参与的新反应，过渡金属催化剂催化下的反应。4）药物合成新工艺研究：主要探索手性药物及氟化药物合成中的新反应，新工艺。
