王钦华，男，1964.10出生，多伦多大学博士。现为苏州大学现代光学技术研究所教授，博导，所长；教育部、江苏省现代光学技术重点实验室，江苏省先进光学制造技术高科技重点实验室主任。王钦华博士自1996年起的近十年时间内先后在香港大学，加拿大多伦多大学，加拿大麦吉尔大学及加拿大光子器件高科技公司等单位长期从事有关应用光学和光子技术的前沿技术研究和高科技产品研发工作。曾荣获加拿大国家科学和工程研究委员会（NSERC）的博士后基金。2006年起被苏州大学聘为特聘教授。
