1982年1月毕业于四川大学固体物理专业，获学士学位。先后在物理系和材料科学系从事教学科研工作，现为四川大学材料科学与工程学院教授，博士生导师，材料学院教授委员会主席，四川省学术与技术带头人，四川省教学名师，享受国务院政府特殊津贴。
