沈洪妹，1971年10月出生于江苏通州，中国民主同盟盟员，医学博士，教授。先后于中科院上海生命科学研究院神经所、美国国立卫生研究院心理健康所进行博士后研究。 曾主持国家自然科学基金面上项目、江苏省高校自然科学研究项目、南通市科技计划项目等。

主要研究领域为中枢神经再生与神经精神疾病，将以神经电生理为主要研究手段，结合形态学、分子生物学、行为学等方法，从基因、细胞、突触、神经回路、行为等水平，探讨中枢神经损伤机制及其保护策略。
