个人简介

个人简介 2008年获香港科技大学生物工程学专业博士学位,之后在香港科技大学生命科学部从事博士后研究,并相继被聘为副研究员、研究助理教授。2011年受聘“南方医科大学引进人才”教授岗位。 关注遗传变异介导的表观修饰变化调控胎儿血红蛋白表达的分子机制。在Molecular Psychiatry,AJHG, Epigenetics, Journal Psychiatric Research, Schizophrenia Research等专业期刊发表SCI论文30多篇(累计影响因子100多点)。主持或参与国家重点研发项目、国家十二五重大科技专项、国家自然科学基金、教育部博士点新教师基金、广东省自然科学基金、广东省教育厅引进人才专项基金、广东省科技计划项目、广州市科技计划项目、南方医科大学引进人才专项基金和第八批广东省“千百十人才培养工程”培养对象等项目资助,并获2010年教育部高等学校科学研究优秀成果奖-自然科学类2等奖(第3完成人)。 Professor Cunyou Zhao is Professor and Associate Director of Department of Medical Genetics in Southern Medical University. He obtained his Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) in 2008. He then worked at the Division of Life Science in HKUST as a postdoctoral fellow. Professor Zhao was appointed as Research Assistant Professor at Applied Genomics Center in HKUST in 2009. He joined Southern Medical University in 2011 as a full professor. The research interests of Professor Zhao focus on Epigenetics including DNA methylation & hydroxymethylation and non-coding RNAs in human diseases, including psychiatric disorders and b-thalassemia.
