Dr. Sorb Y A is interested in condensed matter physics under high pressure using synchrotron X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy and resistivity studies. His research work is focused on topological insulators, insulator to metal transitions, multiferroics, structural phase transition, lattice dynamics etc. He is also experienced in synthesis of materials under extreme conditions using Laser Heating Diamond Anvil cell (LHDAC). In HPSTAR, he will be working on topological insulators, multiferroics, magnetism, superconductivity, Mott insulators and charge density waves under extreme conditions under the supervision of Dr. Yang Ding.
