教育经历 1978 年 2 月 - 1982 年 2 月，就读于四川工业学院，完成本科学业，获得学士学位，本科毕业。 1983 年 9 月 - 1986 年 9 月，在华中理工大学攻读研究生，获得硕士学位，研究生（硕士）毕业。 1995 年 - 1997 年，国家公派留学日本早稻田大学，获得工学博士学位，研究生（博士）毕业。 工作经历 1986 年 5 月硕士毕业后留校任教于华中科技大学材料学院，工作履历如下： 1986 年 - 1988 年：担任助教。 1988 年 - 1993 年：晋升为讲师。 1993 年 - 1999 年：担任副教授。 1999 年 - 至今：担任教授，在职期间曾任系主任、校学术委员会学科分委员会原委员 。

金属半固态成形技术。汽车用铝合金材料开发；电子产品用铝、镁合金新材料开发 铝合金、镁合金等轻合金新材料制备及其成形技术；金属基复合材料制备及成形。
