Dr. Yayu Gao received her BS degree from Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications in 2009, and the PhD degree in Electronic Engineering from City University of Hong Kong in 2014, supervised by Prof. Lin Dai. Since 2014, she has been with Huazhong University of Science and Technology, where she is currently an associate professor. She is also a supervisor of Dian Group. From Oct. 2017 to Sept. 2018, she visited FuNLab at Univeristy of Washington, Seattle, United States, where she collaborated with Prof. Sumit Roy on heterogeneous networks coexistence. Her current research interests mostly focus on wireless communications, heterogeneous networks coexistence, intelligent transportation systems and AI+. May 2020, three papers first authored by undergraduate students in our group have been accepted by IEEE ICTC 2020. Feb. 2020, a full research paper “Achieving Proportional Fairness for LTE-LAA and Wi-Fi Coexistence in Unlicensed Spectrum,” has been accepted by IEEE Transactions on Wireless Commun.. Dec. 2019, Prof. Lin Dai with City Univeristy of Hong Kong visited our Lab for academic discussions. Oct. 2019, I won the first prize award in National Teaching Skills Final Contest for Young Teachers in the Area of Electronic Information.
