1989年武汉大学科技情报专业毕业获理学士学位，1997年原华中理工大学计算机软件专业毕业获工学硕士学位，2005年至今在职就读于华中科技大学计算机应用专业博士研究生。2000年被评为副研究馆员，2005年被评为副教授。持有DIALOG信息检索咨询员、IBM AIX系统管理员以及IBM DB2系统管理员等资格认证。2005至2007年主持并完成2项国家863计划子项目，现负责在研1项国家863计划项目和1项国家709计划子项目、参加在研1项国家自然科学基金项目。发表国内外学术论文5篇，参编出版教材3本。2006年获华中科技大学教学质量优秀奖二等奖，2007年获武警部队科技进步奖二等奖。
